Description
Scentsy is looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Specialist to work with the Vice President of Global Sourcing and Development to develop, execute, and manage organizational sourcing strategies and programs meant to identify, evaluate, and maintain a strong vendor network. In addition, the Specialist will meet sourcing, costing, and capacity needs for new product programs developed by Category Management and will ensure adequate timing is planned and communicated to Supply Chain and Logistics to meet marketing calendar launch dates.

What You Will Do:
- Research, identify, and evaluate vendors that align with the company’s needs (e.g., price, availability, mitigation of risk, security, and compliance regulations)
- Conduct competitive analysis of vendors, cost models, market analysis, and supply chain alternatives
- Drive the development and implementation of supplier roadmap strategies to deliver annual cost savings
- Lead cross-functional business activities that identify, qualify, negotiate, and successfully implement new suppliers
- Identify areas of need across different divisions where consolidations of products and services can take place
- Facilitate vendor selection and ensure a seamless transition of vendor and product information from Sourcing to Procurement
- Develop high-level relationships with high-quality, professional, and consistent service to the buying and planning teams
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships between the company and its vendors
- Work cross-functionally to validate and define the needs of the business regarding third-party products and services
- Research and identify viable solutions and determine sourcing methods
- Negotiate agreements with suppliers for raw materials, finished goods, pricing, and compliance with established regulations
- Review and negotiate contracts and partner with Legal to ensure contracts include proper protections and enable successful outcomes
- Manage the contract lifecycle by onboarding new vendors, conducting regular business reviews, coordinating asset tracking, and recommending sunset plans
- Conduct supplier audits to verify quality and manufacturing systems are in place to support requirements
- Analyze vendor performance, market data, and business risk
- Research alternative solutions for value optimization and cost reductions, and when necessary, initiate re-negotiation strategies
- Oversee vendor onboarding, management, and performance and maintain a repository of vendor performance data
- Monitor and correct product or vendor issues
- Maximize purchasing power to lower total cost while mitigating risk
- Manage procurement and sourcing policies and activities
- Negotiate and determine prospective vendors to ensure a timely and adequate supply of inventory
- Develop and maintain manageable sourcing processes
- Work collaboratively to understand desired costs and negotiate to stay within approved targets
- Maintain knowledge of the current markets, emerging trends, and new and innovative products and concepts
- Research and select vendors that can achieve the company’s procurement needs
We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 8 years of sourcing or closely related experience
- Advanced contract negotiation and contract oversight experience
- Clear and direct written and verbal communication skills to convey information effectively
- Strong critical thinking skills complimented with sound business judgment
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain Management and Logistics
- Strong skills in material costs, tiered costing, and minimum requirements negotiations
- Strong presentational skills
