Qualifications

US Citizenship. The successful applicant will possess a BS or higher degree (granted by an ABET-accredited university) in Civil/Structural Engineering or a sufficiently-relevant Engineering discipline and have five (5) or more years of verifyable, related work experience. Co-operative education or internship experience may be credited towards this requirement if it is sufficiently relevant.  A PE license in Civil/Structural or related Engineering Registration is highly desired.

• Demonstrable knowledge of field-specific software tools and interpretation is required. Potential examples include Finite Element Analysis modeling tools, such as COMSOL or Femap/Nastran, and Solidworks.
• Familiarity with ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction), and state building codes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Applications is required
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks as scheduled is required
• Good interpersonal and professional skills, ability to work in a team environment is required

Essential Functions

Work Environment Home Office environment. (90%).  Must be able to work in a virtual environment with Microsoft SharePoint and TEAMS

Visits to corporate engineering offices or customer to support technical interchanges and reviews

Visits to Test/Industrial Environment – May be exposed to areas of high noise levels, hazardous propellants, explosives, chemicals and industrial facilities.

Physical RequirementsPotential exposure to high noise levels, hazardous chemicals, propellants and the like. Appropriate PPE and training will be provided for all conditions. Must be able to walk, stand, bend, twist and sit for extended periods as well as climb, crawl, and lift up to 35 lbs. (Required Statement)

Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment – PC, telephone, fax, copier, etc.Hardware platforms – Microsoft PC and OSSoftware: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, Outlook), discipline specific software

Attendance:

Remote/Intermittent work with potential need to work over a 40 hour week to achieve milestone

Other Essential FunctionsUS Citizenship required. A valid driver’s license is required. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. May need to obtain and maintain a government badge or even security clearance as required. Employee must have a valid driver license. Will exercise diligence when developing a Safe Plan of Action (SPA) for each task performed. Your SPA is a Company provided tool to be used for the prevention of incidents, accidents, and injuries; as such, it is the most important tool that you are required to use.
