OTIE currently has an immediate opening for a Structural Engineer in Wisconsin. We currently have a solid backlog of projects, an excellent staff of engineers, and a reputation for providing outstanding services to our clients.

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our structural engineering team. This position offers an opportunity for promotions and upward mobility within a growing firm that has a 30 year track record of providing outstanding engineering services for federal, state, county, municipal, and private clients. The ideal candidate for this position will:

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality design support for the structural engineering group.
• Participate in projects effectively meeting quality, budget, and schedule goals.
• Performing Quality Control reviews on technical submittals
• Have good knowledge in the areas of concrete, steel, wood, and CMU structures.
• Have the ability to work well independently and in a project team in a fast-paced environment.
• Having the ability to perform a condition assessment of an existing structure is a plus.
• Have a working knowledge of standard industry software such as experience with structural analysis software including RAM, Tedds, Adapt; Revit, and or AutoCad; MS Word and Excel.
• Work cooperatively with other engineers, project managers, and technicians.
• Develop and promote a positive internal work environment that takes great pride in delivering outstanding structural services to our clients.
• Project initiation and selection of a structural system in the development of a schematic design
• Further the schematic design to complete fully detailed construction documents.
• Review and edit technical specifications.
• Perform site observations and prepare reports for projects under construction.
• Review and provide commentary of structural shop drawings

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures.
• 4-8 years of structural experience
• E.I.T. looking to advance to P.E. or S.E

Compensation Range:

$90,000- $110,000
