CACI has an opening for a Structural Engineer to support engineering and planning efforts for Submarine Rescue and Mobility platforms at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, Maine.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Develop, create and review Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs)
Assist with other Deficiency Form problems and preparing standard work estimates.
Support of 688 Class and 774 Class Submarine maintenance planning & engineering and Deep Submergence projects
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Welding/Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University (other degree disciplines may be considered)
Knowledge of US Navy Shipyard applications including AIM
Professional engineering experience with welding designs (including basic weld symbols and associated welding quality control standards), and performing complex engineering calculations such as structural load analysis, dynamic analysis, mechanical stress etc.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, structural welding symbols, welding quality control requirements and experience with MS Office suite of products.
Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment.
Well-developed interpersonal skills
Attention to detail.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
