Structural Drafter Responsibilities:
- Create detailed technical drawings and plans based on specifications provided by engineers and designers.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to develop accurate and precise 2D and 3D drawings.
- Ensure that drawings adhere to industry standards and regulations.
- Review and revise drawings as necessary to incorporate changes or modifications.
- Prepare documentation and reports related to the drafting process.

Structural BIM Drafter Minimum Qualifications

· 3 years of Revit Structural drafting experience required.

• Willing to work collaboratively in an office environment.
• Having knowledge of creating plan views/sheets for different building elements and building sizes with guidance from the engineer.
• Having knowledge of how to create sheet(s) of details and placement of references on the plans to identify where the corresponding details apply.
• Develop non-standard details into Revit with engineer’s direction.
• Perform quality control of one’s own work for consistency throughout the documents.
• Able to coordinate between other disciplines and structural drawings for specific items with or without direction from the engineer.
• Able to review shop drawings developed by others to verify the shop drawings meet the design intent of the structural drawings.
• Communicate with client regarding BIM standards and files.
• Estimate time required to do assignments to meet project deadlines.
• Have familiarity with typically utilized computer software (Windows, MS Word, Excel, Bluebeam, etc.).
• Coordinate with project engineer with how structural information is to be presented on the structural documents.
• Responsible for developing complex design drawings using Solid Rock Standards.
• Gathers and organizes engineering data from client drawings, files and other sources for drawing preparation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
