Structural Ironworker jobs in Rock Hill, SC

In this role, the ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of welding and/or have a certification of welding. The Fabricator will be fabricating metal steel and aluminum and welding other metal pieces together utilizing MIG and TIG practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Uses cranes and other lifting devices to assemble heavy steel structures
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor
• No oversight needed to build following blueprints and specs given by engineers
• Responsible to assist in training newly hired Fabricators alongside leadmen
• Sets up and operates fabricating and metal forming machines
• Perform quality, accurate, and timely work.
• Welding steel structures
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints thoroughly
• Operate use hand tools and power tools to secure parts in place.
• Welding
• Lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of your shop area.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Prior fabrication experience
• Knowledge of welding aluminum
• Experience operating fabrication equipment
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines and procedures
• Read and speak English

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• 5 years of welding or metal fabrication experience in similar industries required
• 1 year of sign fabrication experience required

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

• May be required to stand for long periods of time
• May involve some repetitive motions
• May also engage in frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
• Welding Certification
• Others as deemed required by company to be safe for your role

SHIFT:

• Monday - Thursday: 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
