The Coordinator of Student Activities will play an active role in carrying out the mission and vision of the Office of Student Activities. The Office of Student Activities supports over 60 student organizations, 9 Fraternal Organizations, offers support and advisement to the Student Government Association, and plans and executes over 60 events per year. The person selected for this position will gain a working knowledge of a multi-functional student activities office.

• In conjunction with other colleagues in the office: design, create, and implement large-scale programming for the Office of Student Activities.
• Collaborate with offices and stakeholders across campus to ensure an impactful student experience.
• Recruit, hire, and supervise 3-5 Student Programming Assistants who help carry out the office programming.
• Serve as the direct advisor to a portfolio of student organizations. Provide leadership and guidance to registered student organizations including the registration process, event management, budget management and operations.
• Assist with chaperoning trips for student clubs and club sports.
• Assist with Office of Student Activities social media effort.
• Represent the Office of Student Activities at major campus events including, but not limited to: new student orientation, open house, admitted student's day.
• Serve on various committees as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• Two years of experience working in student affairs/engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to function in a multi-faceted department.
• Ability to pay attention to details, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, such as the ability to work with students, faculty, staff and external vendors.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Master's Degree, preferably in student personnel.
• Graduate of Farmingdale State College

This is a full-time UUP position.

• For the first 10 working days, beginning Monday, April 10, 2023 and ending Friday, April 21, 2023, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.

• Salary: $55,000 $3,026 in downstate location pay = $58,026 Total Annual Compensation. Salary may increase commensurate with experience.
