Job Summary: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Activities Director to join our team. As an Activities Director, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for our residents in assisted living and memory care settings. Your role will be vital in promoting socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being for our senior residents. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, emotional, and social needs of our residents - Plan and organize a variety of recreational, social, and educational activities - Coordinate and facilitate group activities such as games, crafts, exercise classes, and outings - Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a well-rounded program that caters to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents - Assess individual resident preferences and needs to tailor activities accordingly - Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress - Communicate regularly with families to keep them informed about upcoming events and activities - Stay updated on current trends in senior care, dementia care, and recreational therapy to enhance the quality of our activities program Experience: - Previous experience working in assisted living or memory care settings is highly preferred - Strong knowledge of senior care principles and practices - Experience in event planning or recreational therapy is a plus - Familiarity with dementia care techniques and strategies is desirable - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in improving the lives of seniors - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Join our team as an Activities Director and make a positive impact on the lives of our senior residents.
