The ideal Activities Director must be experienced in planning, coordinating, conducting and implementing a therapeutic activity program to meet both group and individual patient’s needs and interests. Including Providing a clean, safe, dignified, happy and healthy environment for residents. This will primarily include serving an active role in planning and participating in outside activities, assists with monthly resident council meetings, adapts recreation programs and regulates content of programs to meet the needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents and the facility, directs and organizes activities to assist residents to develop interpersonal relationships, to socialize effectively, and to develop confidence needed to participate in-group activities.
