Since its founding in 1888, The Kiski School has been a leading boarding school for boys. In September, Kiski’s Board of Trustees voted unanimously to introduce co-education to Kiski, and the school is excited to welcome girls in the fall of 2024. Kiski is seeking a Student Activities Coordinator to develop, organize, and oversee a dynamic offering of on and off-campus activities, while also supporting the Residential Life Program. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who wants to be a part of something new and meaningful, and help Kiski become an exceptional co-ed boarding school.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities Include: 

• Develop, organize, and oversee all on and off-campus student recreational activities, including Cougar Cup and weekend activities.
• Establish and maintain open lines of communication with other schools to set up socials, events, and activities.
• Lead and support all student clubs and student activities committees.
• Plan and coordinate activities and events with the Dean of Girls and Assistant Head of School that promote collaboration, cross-gender interactions, and shared experiences among students.
• Organize, manage, and plan our Community Service Program.
• Function as a member of a dorm duty team by supervising students one night per week and one weekend per month.
• Possibly teach one class and/or coach one or more extracurricular or athletic teams.
• On campus housing, utilities, and food in our dining hall included.

Qualifications: 

• A bachelor's degree and relevant experience working with students in a residential setting, preferably in a boarding school environment. 
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with students, parents, faculty, and staff. 
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to navigate sensitive and complex situations with discretion and professionalism.
• Innovative and adaptable mindset to navigate the challenges and opportunities of co-education.
• Successful experience working collaboratively as a member of a team to identify and solve challenges.
• An excellent written and oral communicator.
