Branch Manager

We are currently looking for an energetic and creative candidate to take on the role as Branch Manager at our Southside branch. This is an excellent position for an outgoing individual that is looking to make a difference with our credit union and members. Essential Duties include:
- Provide leadership to branch staff through establishing SMART goals, delegating effectively, and encouraging open communication channels.
- Develop and mentor employees to excel in achieving both branch and individual objectives through consistent staff meetings, one-on-one sessions, performance evaluations, and structured coaching.
- Strategically lead, monitor, and manage monthly referrals utilizing cross-selling strategies to attain branch growth and profitability.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the credit union’s products and services to efficiently recognize and address member needs, servicing as a role model in product education and promotion.
- Responsible for all branch related activities, including daily balancing, adherence to security protocols, facility maintenance, and timely completion of audits.
Required skills:
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and have a professional appearance and manner
- Competent with PC based programs – Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
- Possess strong organizational, coaching and mentoring skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred (3-5 years of Bank/ Credit Union management experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree). High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Three to five years of retail branch banking or related experience, with proven ability to successfully communicate with staff and members. Prior credit union experience preferred.
