Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) jobs in Birmingham, AL

Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the clinical, managerial, and administrative aspects of substance abuse programs. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness and quality of drug/alcohol rehabilitation treatment procedures to achieve standards and objectives. Being a Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) partners with community agencies and programs to ensure continuity in the type and level of patient care. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local standards and requirements. Additionally, Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Substance Abuse Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Substance Abuse Counselor

  • Family Life Center seeks a Counselor to provide treatment and case management services to adults with substance use disorders. A Bachelor's degree from a nationally or regionally accredited college or university in psychology, social work, or other behavioral health field with equivalent clinical coursework and two years' experience working in a treatment program OR a Master's degree in a clinical area is required; work experience will not substitute for the educational requirement. Knowledge of the 12-Step Programs preferred. A person in recovery who meets the above requirements is a plus. Must be a team player with excellent computer, time management, and organizational skills. This position will require both day and evening work, at least 2 scheduled evenings per week.
