We are so glad you are interested in the Sourcing Specialist position with Phase Technologies.  This role is part of our Supply Chain/Procurement team.  The Sourcing Specialist will develop and implement long term sourcing strategies, to obtain optimal value for the enterprise, all while building strong supplier relationships.  This position will also drive procurement processes through the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Source and rank suppliers for products from global group companies based on competitive requirements and quality standards.
• Communicate with suppliers.
• Act as a liaison to initiate pre-selection of materials and product sets.
• Assist with negotiating pricing with suppliers.
• Attain cost reduction goals through detailed cost/spend analysis, cost model development and implementation, supplier lean events or using various other cost management tools.
• Assist with developing new ideas and creative solutions to product categories.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with a variety of people internally and externally to accomplish the Company’s goals and objectives

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree or equal number of years’ experience in supply chain management or business-related field. (Preferred)
• Experience in electronic parts and/or stainless-steel sourcing. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of logistics or full supply chain processes.
• Knowledge of research and development processes.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and database analytics.
• Ability to multitask with competing deadlines and prioritized workload.
• Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
