Supply Chain Analyst monitors and expedites the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Coordinates with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Being a Supply Chain Analyst identifies bottlenecks or problem areas and escalates or proposes solutions. Works with suppliers to resolve issues. Additionally, Supply Chain Analyst may assist in the negotiation of contracts or service arrangements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Supply Chain Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • POSITION SUMMARY - Located in Panama City, Florida

    The Supply Chain Analyst will assist the Sr Supply Chain Analyst to build internal/external data compilation, reports and processes with ESG Supply Chain and Supply base. The primary responsibility of the Supply Chain Analyst is to support the Supply Chain department through the complete solicitation and acquisition process of material, goods and services. This position reports directly to the Purchasing Manager and will take additional direction from the Sr Supply Chain Analyst. Other duties may also be assigned as needed.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Because Eastern Shipbuilding is continually growing to meet the needs of our customers, the essential duties and responsibilities may be different than described.

    • Regular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
    • Uses ESG policies to assist with the Buyers, Expediters, Subcontract Managers, Warehouse, Senior Managers, and Director in support of the acquisition of material for the OPC and Commercial vessels.
    • Develop skills from learning Supply Chain techniques for the cycle of acquisition and data mining from current ERP utilizing Microsoft Office tools.
    • Create reports from ERP, Excel and additional work instructions for applications within the Supply Chain functions and incorporate into Microsoft Power Point reports.
    • Perform web searches for additional suppliers and pricing in support of Supply Chain activities.
    • Create and maintain supplier/product listings.
    • Search and create material pricing from existing indexes from the internet and ERP that associate with actual material purchased. Sites to be included are BLS(PPI), LME, ILS Mart, etc.
    • Assist buyers with RFQ data, acquire specifications/drawings from internal ESG portals.
    • Create action item lists from daily work regiments of the buyers, expediters, manufacturing, requisitioners and warehouse logistics.
    • Make follow up phone calls, emails with suppliers to assist buyers/expediters/warehouse with material and logistical information and acquisitions.
    • Attend daily meetings, create notes from the meetings, and action items to distribute to the Supply Chain personnel.
    • Resourceful and forward thinking within Supply Chain operations.
    • Any other duties as assigned by Purchasing Director and Managers.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    REQUIREMENTS

    Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent, plus 3 or more years of Supply Chain experience within a manufacturing industry A combination of education and experience may be considered.

    Skills: Advanced level Microsoft Suite experience including Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, professional documents, Company policies/procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to rapidly obtain, sort, filter, and analyze large volumes of data for distillation into high-level reports. Requires excellent written, oral, and presentation/ communication skills. Ability to work in a highly technical and fast paced detailed design and construction program environment. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

    Behavioral Attributes: Requires the ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. Integrity, flexibility/adaptability, initiative, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking. Maintain the confidential integrity of details pertaining to Eastern Shipbuilding Group.
