Supply Chain Analyst monitors and expedites the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Coordinates with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Being a Supply Chain Analyst identifies bottlenecks or problem areas and escalates or proposes solutions. Works with suppliers to resolve issues. Additionally, Supply Chain Analyst may assist in the negotiation of contracts or service arrangements. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Supply Chain Operations Supervisor, with support and oversight from the Operations Manager, is responsible for overseeing a team that provides the receiving, stocking, replenishment needs of hospital and clinic departments. The Supervisor establishes and maintains relationships with customer departments to understand their needs, improve the flow of supplies, manage par levels, effectively adding new items to inventory or removing old items from inventory and implementing new storage models. Additionally, the Supervisor directs the work of their team of supply technicians including establishing and adjusting schedules; orientation and on-boarding; education, competency assessment, and audits; productivity monitoring; assuring inventory accuracy; and caregiver perfomance management.
