JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Director, Supply Chain Warehousing is responsible for supporting the overall GMP materials control/warehousing operations for GMP manufacturing facility. The position requires practical experience and knowledge of a variety of activities in planning, purchasing, warehousing, and logistics to support manufacturing. In addition, is accountable for inventory storage and distribution/shipping of products and hazardous materials. Shift work and/or weekend work may be required at times and this position will reside at the Arranta Bio Watertown Facilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Requires in depth knowledge and experience in the daily activities of purchasing, materials receipt/ management and distribution in a Phase I/II/III GMP manufacturing facility (biopharma).
• Responsible for the supervision and training of personnel, including performance reviews and assessments.
• Will work closely with various departments and offer assistance as needed. This may include support for pre-clinical projects.
• Mature professional capable of independent work.
• Highly organized individual who is detail oriented and understands the role of receiving and quarantine/release of raw materials and supplies in a GMP biopharma operation.
• Experience with MRP systems and inventory control.
• Requires the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment under changing conditions.
• Assessing the Materials Control operations on a continuing basis and providing recommendations and implementing improvements.
• Assists with performing internal/ external audits. Will participate in regulatory (FDA, EMEA) and client audits/inspections of company and the facility.
• Participation in the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse will be critical.
• Assists in the training of personnel. Will work closely with various departments and offer assistance as needed. This may include support for pre-clinical projects.
• Off-hours work may be required at times.

Required Experience: *

• High School Diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Leadership experience
• Moderate supervision required on day-to-day activities and accomplished tasks.
• Experience and a thorough understanding in coordination of warehousing activities with manufacturing and other departments (QA, QC) to maintain internal and project schedules.
• Will need experience in the shipping of a variety of materials requiring special conditions (temperature, hazardous).

• The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
• In the performance of the duties of this job the employee is required to travel occasionally, drive a motor vehicle.
• Communicate using telephone and e-mail.
