Supply Chain Director directs overall supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory, selection of vendors, and distribution of finished goods. Develops and implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Being a Supply Chain Director negotiates with vendors to obtain optimal contracts and pricing. Utilizes data monitoring and analytics to evaluate past performance and trends and forecast inventory and distribution requirements. Additionally, Supply Chain Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Supply Chain Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.   • Summary:
    The Director of Strategic Sourcing will be responsible for leading and managing our strategic sourcing function. This role is pivotal in developing and executing a comprehensive sourcing strategy to optimize our supply chain, reduce costs, and enhance supplier relationships that meet all of our business unit needs.

    Duties:
    • Lead and mentor a team of sourcing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Set clear goals and provide guidance to achieve departmental objectives.
    • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Identify cost-saving opportunities, ensure product quality, and promote sustainability throughout the supply chain.
    • Collaborate with sales, product, operations, purchasing, and finance to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals and priorities.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Evaluate and manage supplier performance to ensure quality, reliability, and consistency of supply.
    • Continuously monitor market trends, negotiate terms and pricing agreements, and identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement best practices to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality.
    • Develop risk mitigation strategies to mitigate potential disruptions such as geopolitical, economic, or environmental factors.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards. Drive sustainability initiatives, such as responsible sourcing and environmentally friendly practices.
    • Oversee the negotiation and management of supplier contracts, including terms and conditions, service level agreements, and performance metrics.
    • Utilize data-driven insights to make informed sourcing decisions. Implement analytics tools and KPIs to track and measure sourcing performance.
    • Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency enhancements within the sourcing function. Implement best practices and drive innovation.

    Education and Qualifications:
    Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university.
    10 years of supply chain experience

    Physical Demands:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to sit for prolonged periods.

    Working Conditions:
    Heated and air-conditioned office, and/or home office.
    Up to 50% travel.
