The Headlines:
In the role of Manager Supply Chain working in Wheat Ridge, CO, you will be part of Rocky Mountain Bottle Company (RMBC). You will provide leadership for optimizing efficiencies in the areas of planning, scheduling, procurement, logistics, storing, and shipping. You will lead the preparation and development of the RMBC production throughput plan and act as the liaison for the plant between corporate Molson Coors and Owens-Illinois planning and scheduling.
This position reports to the RMBC Plant Manager and works closely with the Warehouse, Procurement, and Operations teams.
The Responsibilities:
• Ensure production and shipping plans are optimized for customer service in conjunction with brewery demand plans
• Lead optimization of scheduling
• Update and advise plant leadership on current and future production plans and volumes
• Lead the preparation of daily production schedules to direct plant personnel to produce proper product for immediate order demands
• Oversee the material planning process to ensure schedule is supported
• Monitor performance against plans, communicates deviations to Molson Coors and Owens-Illinois planning and scheduling and modify production schedules as appropriate
• Develop and implement systems and processes for inventory management, product handling, storage requirement, shipping practices, and equipment utilization
• Develop and implement storing and shipping improvements by analysing process work flow, manning, space requirements, and equipment layout
• Responsible for finished goods inventory levels, inbound, and outbound freight
• Ensure communications between demand planning and the breweries
• Lead procurement team and develop supplier contracts
The Other Qualifications:
• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field
• At least six (6) years’ experience in scheduling, purchasing, operations or logistics management
• You have thorough knowledge of production flow including packaging capabilities, shipping constraints, and corporate policy and procedures regarding customer orders
• Possess a proven track record of achievement in a high speed, high volume manufacturing environment
• You have excellent communication skills and are able to relate to all levels of operations, corporate, and supplier contacts
