GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Supply Chain Specialist at Masaba Inc. will play a key role in optimizing our manufacturing supply chain process. This role will be responsible for coordinating, organizing, & overseeing all activities involved in inventory, procurement, & distribution of the company's goods. Help build and maintain strategic partnerships with our suppliers. Responsible for all processes of procurement, materials management & inventory control to sustain our business requirements. Working with our suppliers establish tiers & review supplier performance metrics for accountability, profitability & to help improve performance & quick issue resolution.
JOB DUTIES
- Lead, develop and collaborate with the team to ensure the smooth operation of all aspects of our supply chain to fulfill requirements.
- Maintain and sustain value driven strategic partner / vendor relations.
- Develops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company and at any alternate sites.
- Maintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimize production.
- Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution.
- Negotiates value-based pricing for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companies.
- Via our ‘tier’ supplier strategy, look for alternative sourcing partners as needed.
- Provide strategic partners with forecasts, delivery requirements, packaging requirements, etc. to be successful.
- Understands, reviews & evaluates items purchased from our venders & suppliers to ensure they meet our overall requirements.
- Work to obtain best pricing / value of required items.
- Understand and efficiently & effectively operate within our Global Shop ERP/MRP System.
- Assist with outsourcing management and control of inventory and purchased products.
- Assist with work order management within our production schedule.
- Manage month end job closing and invoicing with accounting.
- Work closely both with Masaba Inc. and the Masaba Hydraulics division.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, performance metrics, and areas for optimization.
- Collaborate with quality teams to implement quality control measures and address any non-conformities or quality issues.
- Consistently seek ways to improve supply chain processes, including evaluating approaches, practices, tools, and technology.
- Monitor and evaluate supply risks and risk potentials.
- Negotiate with vendors and carriers to secure best pricing and ensure contact compliance.
- Assess company’s processes and inventory, then use that data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
