Job Description:
Lead quality, productivity, safety, and continuous environmental improvement of Supply Chain operations and Associates here within the team. This role is an active part of the Site’s Leadership Team (Staff). The Factory Supply Chain Manager will have 7 direct reports.
What are we looking for?
Education & Professional Qualification Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain; High School diploma required Master’s Degree preferred (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain)
Knowledge/Experience 5 years experience in Purchasing, Operations and Supply-Chain logistics. Functional knowledge of the Financial/Accounting Software and the Computer Maintenance Management Systems, Electronic file manipulation, and a Solid understanding of inbound logistics procedures.
What will be your key responsibilities?
ENGAGEMENT • Create an engaging environment where Associates feel appreciated, valued and listened to. • Ensure timely follow-through and follow up surrounding Associate escalations and to address any Associate relations concerns.
SAFETY • All PPE must be worn in compliance with the OHSA/RC requirements • Enforce/Respect the safety rules and the internal policy • Stop any equipment / operative works / external company works if safety/environment protection/fire protection rules are broken • Support & promote plant safety and health within Flow department
ENVIRONMENT • Guarantee and apply ISO (Environment), and all related working procedures • Ownership of environmental responsibilities
QUALITY & FOOD SAFETY • Guarantee and apply ISO 9001, 22000, Mars Standards, and all related working procedures • Develop, implement and maintain the HACCP program in the department • Insure GMP-GHP in the areas of ownership • Update Flowchart and Hazard Analysis in relevant areas • Member of the Food safety team & Food Defense • Analysis of results for verification activities, internal and external audits • Manage non-conformities (dispositions), analyze for root causes and undertake correctives actions • Manage in relation with Unit Logistic Director physical recall of Quality issues products
Leadership Team & RESPONSIBILITIES • Support Shift Managers for any flow operations within budgeted costs, productivity objectives and quality standards (supplying, planning, packaging and warehousing processes) • Ultimate responsible for quality, food safety and janitorial activities within Packaging / Flow department • Develop, implement and maintain the HACCP program in the Flow department • Support any Flow maintenance functions, within budgeted costs (Implement preventive plan, resolve breakdowns, implement first level maintenance…) • Driver of any off-site warehouse leases and escalation point for maintenance related escalations. • Prepare annual operating budgets and participate to the definition of the CAPEX • Manage designated investment projects (Budget, time table, external companies’ intervention…) • Prepare, study, participate in the decision, manage and validate technical works and process revisions made internally or by external companies. Involve relevant stakeholders in change management • Manage plant health and safety within Flow Department • Manage environment protection within Flow Department
Manage and Provide Direction
Continuously audit the plant in order to assess for asset protection (fire protection) • Lead and manage inventory of raw ingredients / packaging materials / finished products in bins, silos and racks (cyclical and period end inventories) • Support any necessary MSE (Mars Supply Excellence) initiatives at the site. • Prepared for Weekly Staff meetings, JTM weekly calls, Daily Operations Meetings, Leadership Weekly Walks, Product quality evaluations, Periodic SMRs, Quarterly VCO Opex Deep-Dive and support any visits both preparation physically as well as presentations needed for Supply Chain. • Any additional task as delegated by Site Director
CLEANLINESS & TIDINESS • Organize and manage cleaning programs • Perform Housekeeping Checks to ensure GMP compliance • Set up operational cleaning operations- weekly cleaning
COMMUNICATION & INFORMATION • Participate in Shift Leader Meeting & Management Review along with Period review meetings • Participate in daily leadership Gemba walks • Actively prepare and participate in daily operations meetings • Provide any requested documentation to other Departments according to internal rules • Plant Flow statistics
