What’s the Role?
We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Coordinator. This role requires a strong background in coordinating domestic, import, and export shipping activities. Excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of logistics processes, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods, optimizing supply chain processes, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
What you’ll do:
• Coordinate and manage aspects of logistics operations (domestic and international), including transportation planning, shipping, and receiving.
• Utilize transportation management systems to track and monitor shipments.
• Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Assesses order and shipping status and provides communication to other departments as required.
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics activities.
• Provides freight quote estimates as requested by sales, customer service, or shipping personnel.
• Collaborate with 3PL providers to optimize transportation routes and costs.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to shipments, such as delays or damages.
• Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Assist in the development and implementation of logistics strategies and procedures.
• Facilitate the import and export of goods, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.
• Work closely with customs brokers to prepare and submit required documentation for customs clearance.
• Ensure compliance with all documentation requirements for domestic and international shipments.
What we need from you:
· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
· 1 years of experience as a Logistic Coordinator or similar role.
· Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
· Knowledge of operational procedures regarding distribution logistics, such as air and ocean shipping, cross docking, import/export, customs regulations, and related documentation, freight forwarders, 3PLs, and more.
· Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), NetSuite, and TMS.
The salary range for this position is $23- $27/hour. We offer health benefits, a matching 401(k), paid holidays, vacation time, and more.
