Job Summary
The Executive Director of Supply Chain, under general direction of the Vice President for Finance and CFO, maintains responsibility for the management and direction of the university's supply chain processes and procedures
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Will serve on the department leadership team
May direct unit staff, setting performance standards and accountabilities.
Ensures that programs, activities, and services comply with University, State, and Federal regulations.
May have input into the budget and fiscal operations of the unit
Oversees communications and public relations for the unit
Develops and implements unit programs
Serves on various University, division, and departmental committees and represents the department at various State and National associations
Supply chain management, including supplier relationships, scorecards, and global supplier management
Manage supplier contract negotiations and third-party relationships
Lead, educate, and build continuous improvement
Foster a culture of winning through customers, respect for each other, and process improvement
Maintain relationships with marketing/commercial groups, contractors, vendors, government agencies, and regulatory agencies

Minimum Requirements
Education - Master's degree in supply chain management or related field or an equivalent of education and experience
Experience - Eight years of related experience in management
Knowledge of - Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
Ability to - Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to ensure understanding.
Preferred Requirements
Licensing / Professional Certification - APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) & APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP).
