Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist

Department: Manufacturing

Reports To: Director of Manufacturing

Position Summary: The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for managing the shipment and receipt of all products and raw materials. The goal is to create and maintain a smooth supply chain process as the company's sales and production increase to meet growing consumer demands. The Supply Chain Specialist must diligently adhere to safety and QC protocols, help improve company procedures and day-to-day operations, while maintaining a professional decorum. The candidate will also contribute as needed to the work of other departments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Forecasts raw material and component requirements and orders/maintains inventory accordingly.
• Maintains adequate stock of supplies and consumables to support development and manufacturing activities.
• Controls access to controlled inventory.
• Collaborates and communicates with quality, logistics technicians, customer service representatives, accounting, manufacturing, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products.
• Manages the shipment and receipt of all products and raw materials.
• Tracks, traces, and updates the status of manufacturing and incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.
• Promptly prepares and ships outgoing shipments.
• Engages with customers, vendors, and drivers with a positive attitude.
• Maintains a clean, neat, and safe warehouse.

• Maintain bloodborne pathogen and PPE training.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly

• Ability to wear personal protective gear correctly
• Ability to safely handle sharp objects i.e. box cutters

Environment:

The candidate will work in an office located in a warehouse next to a loading dock. Temperatures are maintained through the HVAC system but may fluctuate during seasonal changes. The candidate may temporarily encounter strong smells such as gasoline after operating the forklift. The candidate will receive deliveries of biological substances such as human blood or plasma for development and QC testing; proper use of PPE and bloodborne pathogen training is required.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 6 months logistics or customer service experience
• Complete the company's Forklift Certification program within 60 days of start date
