    Position Summary: 

    The Assistant Plant Manager ensures our Warehouse and Quality Control departments are running efficiently and effectively to meet or exceed the requirements of our customers.  They also provide broader support across other functions to supplement the work of the Plant Manager. 

     

    Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities: 
    • Manage and develop the teams in the Warehouse and QC areas 
    • Ensure safety is the top priority and lead Safety Committee meetings 
    • Drive performance on KPI’s as defined 
    • Interview and approve new hires and promotions to build a world-class team 
    • Ensure proper training is provided for all employees 
    • Oversee cycle counts and improve inventory accuracy 
    • Oversee quality adherence and ensure that we are always looking to improve our quality standards 
    • Organize and oversee parts room  
    • Maintain facility and equipment in designated areas 
    • Develop processes to maintain a neat, clean and organized warehouse and hold team accountable 
    • Complete daily/weekly reports and clearly communicate to team members and leadership 
    • Maintain confidentiality of all company/client information. 
    • Attend and help lead department and company meetings or training sessions as needed. 

    Working Conditions/Environment: 

    Works primarily in a warehouse environment where the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 35 lbs. regularly, walk, reach, grasp and bend while moving about their workstation and facility.   May be required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.  The employee may periodically be exposed to non-ambient temperatures, odors or dust. All required PPE must be worn at all times while in the warehouse environment in accordance with company policies and safety standards. 

     
    Qualification Requirements: 
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
    • 5 years as Lead or Supervisor 
    • Proficient in Office365 
    • NetSuite experience a plus 
    • Forklift certification required. 
    • Forklift Trainer certification a plus. 
    • Strong interest and capacity for career growth 
    • Research, problem-solving and analytical abilities 
    • Proven experience using oral and written communication skills to effectively resolve problems 
    Supervisory Responsibility: 

    Ohio facility Warehouse and Quality Control groups
