Key Responsibilities
- Create, review, prioritize, and execute on PPV, working capital, and VAVE opportunity funnels established by the SCM and Engineering teams

Decrease exposure to excess, slow-moving, obsolescence & scrap (SLOB) materials

Facilitate idea generation events for product families where a team of SME’s evaluates products, materials, and processes for improvement opportunities, prioritizes and executes necessary changes

Manage and improve factory efficacy, leveraging your supply chain team in partnership with Ops, Engineering, and Sales Ops, optimizing material flow & inventory turns to meet world-class working capital and cash flow goals

Lead the materials and logistics teams to ensure seamless receipt and shipment of product and materials.

Implement and manage supplier agreements and replenishment plans to achieve OTD, improving competitive market position

During the release of new products, work closely with the Ops and engineering teams to support the procurement strategy for prototypes, tooling, and materials, ensuring both manufacturability and a quality product for our customers

Work directly with suppliers, often at Gemba, to improve cost, quality, and processes through accountability to supplier scorecards (performance management) and service level agreements

Manage suppliers tied to indirect and MRO spending, maximizing payment terms and optimizing price
-
Work with all levels of the operation to nurture a culture of continuous improvement and Silver Falls Way (SFW business system and culture) by providing a high level of support (collaborative problem-solving) for the ideas and pain points of the team

Assist and/or own validation process, partnering with the Quality and SFW leader, for supplier and design change proposals

Support the integration of recently acquired companies, leveraging preferred suppliers and best practices for the integrated businesses
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Total team size: 7 to 10 employees

Leads the logistics and material control teams in execution and improvement of receiving, shipping, and material control processes throughout the factories

Leads the buyers in execution and improvement of buying, supplier selections, working capital control related to inventory, and alignment of procurement to SIOP outputs

Development of team members across their technical skillsets and overall alignment to Silver Falls cultural values and anchors

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree is required in business, supply chain management, or analytical field
-
7 years’ experience in supply chain (manufacturing AND commodity management) within a lean manufacturing/production environment with specific experience in:

Procurement, materials management and supply chain management for best-landed cost and enhanced inventory turns
-
Vendor, customer, and external-facing engagement
-
3 years managing (5) or more direct reports
-
Computer skills using Microsoft Office and, in particular, expertise with Excel, as well as experience working in ERP systems
-
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools (Kaizens, improvement workshops, etc.) and continuous improvement techniques
-
Willingness to acquire knowledge of innovative technologies to improve material and non-material productivity
-
Able to read and interpret mechanical/technical drawings
-
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Able to work independently, be self-directed, and be solutions-oriented

Sound organizational and planning skills with solid attention to detail

- APICS Certification in Planning and Inventory Management

Knowledge and use of the Microsoft Dynamics ERP System and Power BI
