    Primary Responsibilities:
    The Demand Planning Manager is responsible for leading the demand planning and forecasting functions.  They will be responsible for the development and execution of demand planning processes, systems and strategies for the company's products or services. This will involve working with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to collect and analyze data, identify trends and patterns, and generate accurate and timely forecasts.
    Key responsibilities of this role include:
    • Lead the demand planning function, develop and implement demand planning processes, systems and strategies to support the company's goals.
    • Develop and maintain a demand forecast for assigned products or services using statistical models, market trends, and other relevant data sources (ex. Customer portals).
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply planning, and strategic sourcing, to gather and analyze data insights to support forecasting activities.
    • In collaboration with sales, drive SKU rationalization to ensure optimized assortments across each category and for each sales channel
    • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics such as sales trends, inventory levels, and customer demand to identify potential supply chain risks and opportunities.
    • Work with sales and marketing teams to gather information on promotions, new product launches, and other events that could impact demand and incorporate this information into the forecast.
    • Work closely with supply planning teams to ensure that supply plans are aligned with forecasted demand.
    • Provide regular updates on demand forecast accuracy and work with cross-functional teams to continuously improve forecasting methodologies.
    • Maintain an awareness and understanding of product lead times and potential impacts to operational capacities to ensure forecasting is appropriately captured and shared for the appropriate timeframes.
    • Conduct regular reviews of historical sales data and market trends to identify patterns and insights that can be used to improve forecasting accuracy.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
    • Collaborate to develop and execute supply chain strategies that support business objectives.
    • Active participant/lead in the S&OP process including building reports, analyzing trends and putting recommendations together.
    • Responsible for report generation and maintenance. Preferably in Power BI.

    REQUIRED:
    • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in demand planning or a related field.
    • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with forecasting tools and software.
    • Experience with tier 2 ERP systems. 
    • High level of organization and attention to detail.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively across the supply chain, with internal and external business partners. 
    • Ability to oversee projects with multiple, time-dependent tasks and deliver reliably.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop insights.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
    • Ability to lead a team.
    • A creative, entrepreneurial mindset.  We are a small team that works hard and moves quickly. A willingness to grow with the company while owning and communicating workload is necessary.
    PREFERRED
    • Experience with SAP, Oracle or other ERP systems a plus.
    • Experience with forecasting and collaborating with large, national retail customers.
    • Master’s degree in business, supply chain management, statistics, or a related field.
