    WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

     

    • Responsible for developing the short term production schedule for both finished and/or semi-finished goods.  The production schedule should minimize brand changes, maintain factory efficiency targets, and meet inventory stocking strategies. 
    • Managing  finished goods in accordance with safety stock strategies and shipping limit guidelines. 
    • Managing semi-finished good inventory to ensure stocking policies are met. 
    • Should have an overall understanding of work centers, output assumptions, changeover times, bills of material, and specification changes. 
    • Should have an overall understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain and brand planning processes. 
    • Possess a detailed understanding of the ERP planning tools. 
    • Maintaining KPI’s and performing root cause analysis. 
    • Should be up to date and knowledgeable of brand projects including end of life cycle projects to minimize finished good write-offs.  The manager must stay informed of upcoming events such as new brand launches or promotional activity to ensure cost savings and project success.  The position may be required to lead and/or participate on teams that are associated with brand projects. 
    • The position should have a working knowledge of direct materials for assigned operating unit. 
    • Possess the ability to communicate across, up and down the organization. 
    • Possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to present findings. 
    • May be required to track new brand launch performance versus expectations. 
    • Will be required to lead and /or participate on project teams as well as continuous improvement initiatives.  

    ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

    • High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant progressive work experience; OrAssociate Degree in Logistics, Technical, Business or related field and 6 years relevant progressive work experience; Or Bachelor of Science in Logistics, Technical, Business or related field and 5 years​ 
    • Ability to make sound and timely decisions in a fast paced environment 
    • Strong analytical skills 
    • Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills 
    • Strong functional knowledge of computers and information systems 
    • Self-motivated, energetic, flexible, and adaptable to change​ 

     

    BENEFICIAL

    • Supply Chain and/or manufacturing experience preferred.​ 
    • ERP system skillset preferably SAP​
