Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator is responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing. Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Being a Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Additionally, Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Position Summary
The Surface Mount Technology, Automated Tech (97100) position supports manufacturing in the SMT and Secondary Operations group. This position will assist with programming, maintaining and troubleshooting the equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:- SMT and Secondary Operations equipment includes, but not limited to: Screen Printing, SMT, Reflow, Depaneling, Selective Soldering, Pin Insertion, Testing, Programming and Coating.
- Assist with programming and maintaining SMT and Secondary Ops equipment.
- Trouble shooting issues with equipment and processes.
- Assist and train operators on equipment.
- Monitor Quality Metrics
- Create work instructions using both Aegis NPI and/or Microsoft Word.
- Assist with SPC data analysis and reporting
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)- 3 years manufacturing experience preferred.
- Computer skills required.
- Ability to read schematics is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
- Must be willing to work in other areas of the plant when needed.
- Must be willing to travel for training opportunities.
