Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator is responsible for both automated and manual surface mount manufacturing. Responsible for set-up, operation, and adjustment of SMT equipment. Being a Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards. May be responsible for quality assurance and documentation. Additionally, Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Surface Mount Tech Machine Operator may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate and oversee coating machines to apply coatings to materials
- Read and interpret job specifications to ensure accurate production
- Perform quality checks on coated materials using measuring tools and instruments
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues to maintain efficient production
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Proficient in reading a ruler
- Strong math skills
- Attention to detail
- Good attendance history
- Solid work history
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience
- Ability to read a ruler and possess strong math skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated good attendance and work history
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus
- $19-$21/hr to start!
