Surgeon - Heart Transplant examines, diagnoses, and surgically treats patients with end-stage cardiac disease. Surgically replaces a diseased or damaged heart with a healthy heart. Being a Surgeon - Heart Transplant reviews patient history and confirms need for surgery. Determines which instruments and method of surgery will be most successful in achieving the desired outcome. Additionally, Surgeon - Heart Transplant may provide medical personnel with direction concerning patient care. May provide in-service training as needed to address new technology in health care treatment. Provides charting in compliance with all laws and regulations. Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, and other care needs. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Duties:
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
- Monitor and document changes in residents' physical and mental well-being
- Implement behavior management strategies for residents with challenging behaviors
- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Lift and transfer residents using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Follow all resident rights policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, or dementia preferred
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist with transfers (up to 300 pounds) based on client assignment
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- Understanding of resident rights and person-centered care principles
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
