Surgical Neurophysiologist performs testing and monitoring of the nervous system during surgery to assist the surgeons in avoiding or reducing complications such as paralysis, hearing loss, or stroke. Conducts Electroencephalograms, Electromyographies, Somatosensory Evoked Potentials, Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials, direct nerve testing, and other modalities intraoperatively, and communicates findings to the operating room team. Being a Surgical Neurophysiologist typically requires a bachelor's degree in related area. Requires Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) from the American Board of Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists. Additionally, Surgical Neurophysiologist typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Surgical Neurophysiologist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Delivery and set up of cataract equipment and product. Staging product weeks in advance for pending regional surgery dates.
· Operation and troubleshooting of surgical equipment in OR during cataract surgery
· Provide assistance if requested by the client and/or surgeon.
· Documentation of products (disposables) used at the client location and return to inventory
· Manage and maintain appropriate supply chain levels for designated region.
· Generalized maintenance of Vantage regional resources (Ex. Medical Equipment and Vehicles, etc.)
· Safely maintain Vantage storage location to ensure cleanliness, compliance, and sterility.
· Act as Vantage representative when with the client, serving as a customer service agent and acting as liaison between the Client, Sales, Operations, and the home office.
Qualifications to be an Operations Clerk/Surgical Coordinator for Vantage Surgical Solutions
· Associate or bachelor's degree
· Experience in Ophthalmology a plus but not required
· Responsible and able to work independently
· Detail-oriented
· Basic computer skills
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Able to work collaboratively and with a team mindset
