JOB DESCRIPTION: AutoCAD Survey TechnicianCoast 2 Coast AutoCAD Survey Technicians document and compile comprehensive site survey data for nationwide as-built architectural projects. This unique travel-centric opportunity allows you to spend multiple weeks at a location, then enjoy time off at home before your next project(s). Responsibilities include scope-of-work execution, pro-active collaboration, quality assurance, and following standard operating procedures. For those local, to Chattanooga TN we have positions available, and for those outside our area, there are traveling positions available.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Capture Architectural Data on Location:
- Travel across the country taking photos, 2D and 3D measurements of various hotels, retail sites, and facilities.
- Document property conditions in 2D, and 3D floor plans and elevations using AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Read and understand project documents.
- Collaborate with the processing team to ensure scope alignment and project quality.
- Provide updates and communicate with project managers and survey teams during the project lifecycle.
Construct Project Deliverables:- Support clients as they remodel or acquire new properties by capturing existing site conditions in alignment with client guidelines and scope of work.
- Assemble well-crafted survey reports using excellent measurement, photography, and AutoCAD skills.
- Responsibly use a variety of measurement tools, 3D terrestrial laser scanners, laptops, cameras, as well as smartphones and iPads.
- Demonstrate proven experience using collaboration platforms, apps, and various software.
- Assist with a wide variety of projects by adapting to new scopes, standards, and software. Participate in the Coast 2 Coast learning culture by obtaining skills offered through mentorship and online courses.
REQUIREMENTS:- The successful candidate will have proven experience with AutoCAD or computer-aided drafting software and complete a pre-hire AutoCAD assessment.
- Must possess strong verbal/written communication skills, the ability to produce work independently, and effectively coordinate with team members.
- Proactive and organized, the candidate effectively manages multiple concurrent projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting deadlines (including taking advantage of overtime opportunities).
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license and live in the vicinity of a major airport to facilitate travel.
- Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screening, as well as random screening during employment.
