Job Summary
Baldwin Surveying and Mapping is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Survey Field Technician to lead our surveying team in executing various projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in data collection, surveying techniques, and the use of advanced technology such as Drones, Lidar, Robotic Total Stations, GNSS. As a Party Chief, you will be responsible for overseeing field operations, ensuring accuracy in surveys, and collaborating with Professional Land Surveyors to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities

• Operates robotic total stations, digital level, Carlson data collector, Carlson software, Carlson GNSS Units
• The Party Chief will lead the crew members to deliver quality and timely work product
• Will perform and manage ALTA, topographic, boundary, construction stakeouts, horizontal / vertical control, utility as-builts
• The Survey Party Chief will work with data collectors and use data techniques, conventional notes and sketches.
• Search for sections corners, property corners and survey points.
• Field notes reduction and in-depth plan interpretation.
• Download field data into computers.
• Maintain equipment and ensure it is calibrated for optimal performance during surveys.
• Train junior staff on surveying techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
• Review survey data for accuracy and completeness before submission to Drafters and Professional Land Surveyors.

Requirements

• 3-5 Years of progressive experience as a Party Chief
• Experience with ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Topographic and construction layout
• Must have working knowledge of GNSS, Robotic Survey Equipment, Digital Levels
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Be able to read and comprehend measurements.
• Intermediate math skills which include trigonometry and coordinate geometry.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others.
• Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to work in the outside elements of the field up to 100% of the time.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
• Required to remain standing for a minimum of eight (8) hours per day and walk long distances.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and climb on a ladder.
• Must be able to drive a company vehicle to and from job sites
• Ability to work as a one person crew if needed
• Part 107 License preferred but not required
• Experience with Carlson Survey, Carlson SurvPc, preferred but not require

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
