Job Title: Departmental Sustainability Compliance Coordinator

Work Schedule: Full time; Monday-Thursday (4-10 s)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Departmental Sustainability Compliance Coordinator is responsible for programs and processes for implementation of DOE Order 436.1A, Departmental Sustainability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Other duties may be assigned.)
- Develop and implement programs and processes for the implementation of DOE O 436.1A, Departmental Sustainability.
- Develop and maintain program metrics to monitor program performance.
- Provide routine reports to senior management regarding program performance.
- Provide training and information to all SSI employees to ensure understanding of their responsibilities in the program.
- Identify program deficiencies and work with SSI managers and Subject Matter Experts to implement actions necessary to improve performance.
- Perform periodic Management Assessments of program implementation.
- Provide data in response to Order deliverables and DOE data calls.
- Develops reports, analyses, studies, and presentations as needed
- Manages multiple tasks and communicates (oral and written) in a professional manner with all levels of employees, customers, vendors and management Review and approve purchase requisitions to ensure procurement of sustainable products as required by DOE O 436.1A.
- Support initiatives for resource conservation and use of renewable energy.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND KEY COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor s Degree in Business or another comparable field of study OR an equivalent combination of education and 3 or more years of direct applicable experience
- Sustainability Degree or experience preferred.
- Must be able to operate in a team environment
- Must have good organizational skills
- Familiarity with the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant is a plus
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint specifically) and experience with Outlook
TRAINING, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must be a citizen of the United States and authorized to work in the US
- Must have a valid driver s license and be able to operate a government vehicle
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Must be able to meet the physical capacity requirements of this position as determined by the Occupational Medical Provider
- Able to wear company-provided personal protection equipment if/when required
