Project Manager
PTI is looking for a project manager to lead our materials evaluation team, with a focus on sustainability, who can help plan projects, take technical lead, and establish timelines to meet customer requirements. The successful candidate will work directly with customers to establish project guidelines, offer technical guidance, ensure proper implementation of project elements, and analyze and report final data.
Essential Responsibilities
- Sustainability and material evaluations project lead
- Guide customers in package design for sustainability
- Develop customer project framework with projected costs and timelines
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline project execution
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients to develop focused evaluation protocols and testing methodologies
- Collaborate with strategic partners and internal business development team
- Facilitate positive, proactive working relationships with customers and internal resources
- Oversee and conduct industry sustainability testing, including APR testing, for customers
- Evaluate recycle materials, polyesters, or new materials in oriented applications, including films, plaques, bottles, and thermoformed articles
- Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities; resolving problems
- Prepare project reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data; recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Sustainability
- 5 years’ experience in the sustainability field, preferred
- Strong project management skills
- Experience in plastics field and/or production environment preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized, detail oriented
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
