HCM is looking for a strong Sustainability Manager to lead us towards a more sustainable future. This individual will be creative, self-motivated and have a passion for inspiring sustainable design. This role will work between all Market sectors to manage, organize and coordinate with the design and technical project teams throughout the design process.
About Our Market Sector
HCM provides services in the Housing, Mixed Use & Planning, Senior Living & Affordable Housing, PK-12 Education, Higher Education, Healthcare and Landscape Architecture Market Sectors.
About The Position
-
Works with Market Sector Leaders and project teams to provide input in developing sustainable design strategies as needed.

Collaborate with project Principals and Project Managers to present sustainable opportunities to clients as needed through cost-benefit analysis and research on local and federal tax initiatives

Collaborate with project Principals and Project Managers to present to lead sustainability charrettes and goal setting
-
Work with HCM leadership to set and track annual firm sustainability goals
-
Maintain and share knowledge of evolving building technology and systems

Work with HCM leadership to develop and present firmwide sustainability trainings
-
Collect and analyze company-level sustainability data including
-
2030 data collection for AIA
-
Green rating systems and maintaining public directories
-
Marketing data for project pursuits
-
Lead the firmwide Sustainability Action Team and Sustainability team members
About You
-
7-12 years of experience in the Architectural or Engineering field
-
Licensed Architect or equivalent licensure in a design field
-
LEED accredited professional required
-
WELL accredited preferred
-
Has a passion for designing high quality-built environments that enrich the lives of those living with income and age restrictions
-
Excellent design, graphic and presentation skills
-
Experience leading client meetings and sub-consultant coordination
-
Strong Revit skills
-
Experience with Covetool or other energy modeling software preferred

Experience with Tally or other carbon LCA modeling preferred
-
Some knowledge of building codes and regulations is a plus
