Digital Consultants is seeking a qualified Switchboard Operator II to provide telephone operator support for our work at SHAW AFB, SC.

Duties to include:

• Provide telephone operator support. The contractor shall support continuous operations of commercial/telephone switches 24x7x365 (around-the-clock) with duties including, but are not limited to:
  • Publishing and keeping current a site telephone directory.
  • Managing and distributing to all customers by email a quick reference guide on telephone operations and features.
  • Directory assistance.
  • Call direction and call transfer between DSN and local phone lines.
  • Support callers from other locations in SWA and shall act as centralized operators to assist other bases with directory assistance. The contractor will be responsible for contacting independent sites to obtain updated phone directories, as necessary.

Requirements

• 2 years experience as a telephone operator handling overseas telephone calls, personnel locator service, commercial information services, customer support, conference calls, emergency calls, and maintaining call accounting databases; and experience as a telephone operator on switchboard console.
• Physical: The candidate, with or without reasonable accommodation, must physically be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; lift objects up to 20 pounds; requires frequent physical hand dexterity and repetitive movements.
• Clearance: Secret
• Education: High School Diploma/GED
