What you can expect to work on…
Responsible for performing a variety cybersecurity tasks. Provide the framework for controls and access, monitor for security breaches, determine system recommendations, and implement security improvements. This position builds and maintains the IT Security Policy and procedures, evaluates proposed system changes to maintain or improve security and data protection policies, and determines new controls to address identified risks and/or regulatory requirements. This position also serves as the primary lead for incident response efforts in the event of a security breach or cyber-attack.

Essential functions
- Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
- Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
- Develop, execute, and track the performance of security measures that protect the organization's data, network infrastructure and computer endpoint systems.
- Serve as IT Security expert for all IT projects; manage work breakdown structures and coordinate work efforts and information sharing with other teams that have IT security elements.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments of existing and planned IT systems to identify risks and vulnerabilities; operate and manage all aspects of the Vulnerability Assessment Solutions.
- Oversee and manage cybersecurity training and education of Niowave employees. Plan, evaluate and conduct internal training exercises.
- Generate phishing campaigns; Monitor and respond to phishing emails.

Required education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in cyber security or related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows 10/11 in a domain environment.
Preferred education and experience
- Certifications are a plus
- Experience with KnowBe4, Palo Alto Cortex XDR and Firewalls, Tenable Nessus
- Experience and knowledge of networking and system administration
