Systems/Application Security Analyst analyzes information security systems and applications and finds the vulnerabilities. Recommends and develops security measures to protect information against unauthorized modification or loss. Being a Systems/Application Security Analyst coordinates with development teams or third parties to fix systems/application vulnerabilities. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Systems/Application Security Analyst typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Schedule: Local candidates are expected to perform work functions at the office 3 days per week 2 days per week working remotely. Work is performed full-time, M-F during standard working hours - day shift as we encourage team collaboration. Some evening meetings may be required to accommodate various resource time zones. Quarterly as-needed on-site team meetings will also be held. Participation is required.
Summary: The Associate IT Security Analyst is responsible for assessing information risk and facilitating remediation of identified vulnerabilities for IT security and IT risk across the enterprise.
Security analysts are ultimately responsible for ensuring the company's digital assets are protected from unauthorized access. This includes securing online and on-premises infrastructures, weeding through metrics and data to filter out suspicious activity, and finding and mitigating risks before breaches occur. If a breach does occur, security analysts are often on the front line, leading efforts to counter the attack.
