Overview

This posting is for in-office review of supplier-provided radiological film at EB Shipyard and EB’s Kings Highway Groton locations. Occasional travel (approximately 50%) to various supplier sites may be required.

The Electric Boat Department 326 Supplier Quality RT Film Analyst is responsible for the review and interpretation of casting and weldment radiographs submitted by Suppliers for approval. The RT Film Analyst will assess that film submittals meet technical requirements and specifications aligning with United States Navy and General Dynamics Electric Boat standards in order to produce the highest of quality products contributing to the overall structure and safety of new construction submarines.The RT Film Analyst must possess a high level of integrity and be able to communicate clearly with multiple levels of internal and external parties in order to articulate findings and workload schedule.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• 2 years of experience in casting film interpretation
• Previously certified as Level II in Radiography/Film Interpretation
• Has documented training and experience hours as specified in SNT-TC-1A
• Ability to travel (approximately 50%)
• Candidates must be from outside of operations (Casciano/Gabriel)

Preferred: 

• Level II Certifications in MT and PT
• Familiarity with NAVSEA Technical Publications such as T9074-AS-GIB-010/271
• Previous RT/NDT related work experience within EB or Navy
