Systems Consultant/Engineering Director oversees the design of enablement plans and configuration specifications and installation operations to implement integrated hardware and software systems and products purchased by customers. Develops standard processes and methodologies to prototype and test proposed solutions for feasibility, reliability, and quality. Being an Systems Consultant/Engineering Director directs the development of program and system specifications to meet customers' technical requirements and guide the enablement, configuration, or coding of products and solutions. Ensures the delivery of technical information, documentation, requirements, and cost estimates to sales teams to use in proposals, quotes, and statements of work meet sales cycle and project timeline requirements.     At Hypercraft, the Program Director provides strategic vision and strong leadership while directing our programs to work with cross functional teams to support and deliver Electric Vehicle systems, completed vehicles, and/or other various large scale programs/initiatives. You will be required to possess the skills to drive continued and measurable success in complex, multi-disciplined environments, quickly pivot in constantly evolving markets to meet business goals, maintain reporting, schedules, and project priorities. Also, you will engage and build successful collaborative working relationships with peers and team members from all lenses of the project as well as be adept at communication at the right level.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop an effective plan of action for running programs from inception to completion 
    • Assess and manage each program’s risks
    • Directly, (or by delegation and supervision) prepare and monitor budget and resource plans including regular spend to date reporting
    • Strategically map-out a program schedule and timeline and ensure it is followed
    • Manage or delegate daily operations that support and implement our current program objectives
    • Plan, schedule, lead, and document outcomes of meetings that will guide discussions between cross-functional, engineering, and other teams
    • Foster and build the Hypercraft company culture.  
    • Support, and if necessary lead technical planning, concept and problem resolution for internal activities. 
    • Directly, or by delegation and supervision, manage all external partnerships and supporting programs to ensure that they are meeting targets
    • Suggest innovative plans and processes to improve program functions
    • Suggest and help create marketing initiatives to increase awareness of the program
    • Set goals and track progress, set-backs, and overall performance
    • Analyze program results and present status to management/stakeholders
    • Help secure and manage program funding if necessary
    • Recruit or organize resources as required to support program
    • May undertake Domestic and International travel in support of programs
    • Ensure program operations and activities adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies

    QUALIFICATIONS

    •  Possess a strong understanding of both the business and technical aspects of the company, including product development, manufacturing, and sales channels.
    • Previous experience in the powersports industry or a related field, and an understanding of the related market dynamics.
    • Proven track record of successfully running a vehicle product development program, demonstrating expertise in overseeing the entire product lifecycle.
    • A technical MBA would be an ideal qualification, combining strong business acumen with a solid foundation in product development and engineering.
    • Familiarity with sales channels and distribution networks within the powersports industry.
    • Strong ability to understand and optimize manufacturing processes.
    • Ownership mentality and a strong sense of accountability and commitment to the company's goals.
    • A high degree of comfort and adaptability in a startup environment, with a hunger for success and the ability to thrive in an ambitious setting.
    • Humility and a hunger for continuous improvement, open to new challenges and opportunities.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Proximity to Provo, Utah, or willingness to relocate to the area.
