Position: Engineering Lab Technician
Reports to: Engineering Lab Manager

Job Summary: The Engineering Lab Technician will have a solid foundation and experience in electronic components and equipment, electrical circuitry, and electrical troubleshooting. This individual will have a strong mechanical aptitude and will aid in setting up and monitoring a range of test setups. The Engineering Lab has primary responsibility for comprehensive testing of development products along with qualification testing to FAA standards prior to production approval.

Job duties:

• Provide input to the design of various electronic monitoring devices
• Assemble electronic testing and monitoring equipment
• Troubleshoot electrical issues in circuitry of equipment and components
• Setup and run performance and qualification testing
• Teardown and analysis associated with product failures
• Generate detailed reports on investigations and findings
• Develop tools, fixtures, and shop aids as dictated by assembly configuration

Candidate Requirements:

• Advanced electrical knowledge
• Technical education and/or experience equal with duties of the position
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Flexibility in acceptance of job assignments
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic fundamentals
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and electrical schematics
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Computer literacy and ability in MS Word and Excel

Preferred Candidates:

• Skilled in the use of automated data acquisition systems (LabView)
• Familiarity with DO-160 testing requirements/procedures
• Experience working in a test lab environment
