    BAE Systems is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to support sustainment of the Joint Targeting Toolbox (JTT) application. The qualified candidate will be working on a multi-disciplinary team, in an agile environment to integrate, deploy, and support complex SW/HW based systems. Tasks may include identifying, documenting, and tracking requirements; performing requirements analysis; performing software/system integration, regression, verification, and validation testing; and troubleshooting issues from sites. Candidate will also install and deploy software on various platforms as well as support system administrators in the field with installation and configuration. Position may require business travel to customer locations in support of product demonstrations, software installation, system testing and training events.

    The qualified candidate will have the opportunity to work with platforms and mission applications for intelligence and defense customers with domain emphasis on Geospatial Intelligence, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR), and Targeting Systems.

    JTT is a suite of software tools that support the joint targeting cycle from objectives and guidance to combat assessment through management of critical intelligence data. It provides the functionality to perform target development and analysis, weaponeering, and the nomination of relevant targets for attack.

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technical discipline, and 8 year(s) related experience
    • US Citizenship and ability to be granted a security clearance by the Federal Government
    • Ability to perform requirements identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking
    • Ability to analyze customer needs, write user stories, and identify technical tasks to achieve schedule goals
    • Experience with unit, integration, and regression testing and reporting
    • Ability to work with customers in a test environment
    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, users, and contractors from the DoD communities
    • Can-do, curious mind that isn’t afraid to tackle and investigate new issues
    • Process improvement minded to increase program efficiency
    • Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic, collaborative, and agile environment
    • Strong oral and written communications skills


    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering or equivalent
    • Security certification or equivalent
    • Systems Engineering related work experience, activities, processes, and methodologies (Agile, waterfall, etc.),
    • Experience establishing and working with Agile teams
    • Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
    • Experience with cloud deployment
    • Experience with installation on various platforms
    • Knowledge of requirement management tools: JIRA
    • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
    • Knowledge of configuration management tools: Subversion, Git
    • Knowledge of various scripting languages (e.g., shell, JavaScript, Python, etc.)
    • Experience setting-up and running test tools (e.g., eggPlant, SilkPerformer, SpiraTest, etc.)
    • Familiarity with JTT



    Pay Information
    Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
