Systems Engineering UNIX/NT Director jobs in Springfield, MO
Systems Engineering UNIX/NT Director directs the UNIX/NT systems engineering function. May also be responsible for OS/390 function and staff. Being a Systems Engineering UNIX/NT Director develops and oversees policies and practices for UNIX/NT systems engineering. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Systems Engineering UNIX/NT Director typically reports to a top management. The Systems Engineering UNIX/NT Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Systems Engineering UNIX/NT Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. What you will do: The Director of Engineering will lead the Engineering and Maintenance teams with responsibilities over all product lines (including rotating electrical, mechanical, electronics, and EV battery) and product launch, product and process engineering, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, quality systems, and warranty.
Qualifications/Skills Preferred:- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
- At least ten years of related experience required.
- Extensive technical knowledge of engineering and product development.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills to develop and implement solutions
- Excellent financial skills and ability to analyze financial data in an open book environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Preferred APQP or AIAG experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
