Job Summary:

This position exists for the purpose of providing continuous process improvement and support to system interfaces, integrations, and data systems by organizing and analyzing data to ensure alignment with the college’s mission and goals. The Integration and Data Systems Analyst will play a key role in the implementation and support of new and existing application systems across various functional areas of the college.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Education and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related field or 5 years’ experience in IT fields involving systems integration and data management.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging trends in information technology and data governance.
• Previous experience in a higher education environment is preferred.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proven experience integrating systems using APIs or iPaaS technologies and integration best practices.
• Experience with databases, data structures, and database programming, in particular Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
• Strong understanding of data quality and data governance practices.
• Experience with higher education ERP systems including SIS and Finance systems.
• Familiarity with working in a higher education environment is a plus.
• Ability to think logically and clearly, work productively under pressure, and maintain flexibility in work hours as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop and manage integrations between various college systems using SQL, APIs, and Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) technologies.
• Manage ETL process between application systems and the college’s data warehouse.
• Install and support data management systems efficiently, including databases, and data design software.
• Analysis of college’s enterprise systems, working with various levels of end-users to create requirements, specifications, workflows and process improvements that will provide viable solutions for college departments.
• Participate in the research, design, and requirements-gathering processes to ensure new systems are effectively developed and implemented to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and departments to implement new systems, enhancements and upgrades.
• Perform unit level and system level testing, coordinate quality assurance testing and certify results.
• Provide escalated support for the college’s SIS and other critical ERP applications.
• Assess existing workflow and procedures to identify and remedy source of downstream data inconsistencies.   
• Implement audit, logging, and monitoring solutions of integrations systems and application workflows as needed.
• Communicate effectively and escalate issues to the Director of IT regarding all projects and assigned applications.
• Continue to keep the pulse of new and emerging technologies and actively look for opportunities to leverage proven commodity solutions.
• Assist in other duties whenever called upon as needed to support the mission of the College.
