Influence and direct the operation of 8-12 quick service branded pizza restaurants throughout Northern Ca. that achieve sales volumes ranging from $750,000 - 2M per year. Needs to deliver implementation of realistic strategies to optimize restaurant operations and profitability, while adhering to the highest quality, cleanliness, and guest service standards. Also, must be able to create and foster a cohesive team, while demonstrating organizational, planning, delegation, mentoring, and coaching skills.

Essential Functions of Area Manager

• Understands the influential role that the Area Manager plays in supporting all employees, enabling them to always provide excellent products and services to our paying guests.
• Willing to work a 55-hour work week (approximately), including evenings and weekends in stressful situations and under pressure.
• Gets to the root cause by demonstrating strong leadership skills, advising, and counseling Restaurant Managers on decision making and problem solving.
• Conducts security/safety audits, and performs the duties associated with cash management to ensure safety and security.
• A very fluent understanding of restaurant & food service P&L’s (labor, food & beverage costs), financial metrics and area/individual budgets and strong math skills.
• Conducts store operational reviews, marketing plans, sanitation inspections, and unannounced store visits as needed to evaluate the quality of service, friendliness, cleanliness, along with managerial operations of each restaurant.
• Accountable for creating and implementing Restaurant or Guest Satisfaction action plans at the store level; driving guest experience, and employee satisfaction is necessary.
• Ensures complete and consistent compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding food quality, safety, labor, employment guidelines, along with Company policies and procedures.
• Continuously trains, develops, and promotes all restaurant teams through individual performance review and meticulous succession planning.
• Partners with marketing and training departments to ensure proper planning and execution of new product rollouts.
• Ensure safe food handling practices are being met of the highest standards. Train& develop teams that have a strong understanding while demonstrating the importance of food safety.
• Responsible for performance evaluations, management development and succession to ensure needs are met.
• Fluent knowledge of disciplinary recommendations and use of progressive discipline principles.
• Able to maintain or exceed weekly budgeted variable operation profit by controlling cost of goods & variable labor.
• Maintain safety, guest service, cleanliness, and food quality standards.
• Responsibilities include monitoring daily business performance and making recommendations to maximize current results or objectives.
• Communicate with Managers departmental and corporate objectives.
• Discuss restaurant challenges to Senior Management with recommendations and plans for improvement.
• Review and analyze restaurant performance results, while identifying and resolving opportunities with the goal of exceeding annual cash flow and sales growth targets.
• Review weekly schedules and staffing levels maintaining competent, motivated, guest service-oriented employees, while adhering to budget standards.
• Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required / Undergraduate Degree in Hospitality or Business Field Preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years management & food industry experience with multiple large high volume food service operations exceeding over $10 - 15M in revenue/sales.
• Must be available to work on weekends, holidays, and nights.
• Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time on a Circle Pizza LLC designated worksite.

Characteristics that Matter!

• Associate or bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in hospitality management or business administration preferred.
• Must be able to express ideas clearly and logically. Verbal skills need to be excellent and person shall effectively be able to communicate with all levels within the organization.
• A sound decision maker, a quick thinker, along with strong interpersonal and analytical skills are mandatory.
• Must demonstrate good judgment and a keen sense of ethics.
• Highest level of customer service skills with the ability to identify key elements of guest concerns when replying to guests.
• Must be proficient in Google and Microsoft Suites, as well as a food related Point of Sale system.
• Ability to develop organic growth and revenue plans (operations, development, and implementation of suggestive selling programs, etc.) with a proven history.
• Must have proven success in controlling costs, maximizing profit while directly supervising multiple managers of different skill levels and experience.
• Able to provide creative solutions to guest situations.
• Ability to work in a high paced, repetitive successful teamwork environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $73,500.00 - $85,000.00 per year
