  • The Nook Talent Acquisition Coordinator will champion the talent acquisition process for Ohio's Spooky Nook Sports, The Warehouse Hotel, and Forklift and Palate Restaurant.

    Relationship building with local organizations, colleges, and trade schools is essential to the success of the position and the Company.

    Retaining current talent will also be within the scope of this position.

    NOTE : Because this position will involve routine interaction with children, all candidates must successfully obtain the following clearances PRIOR to beginning employment :

    Ohio BCIFBI Fingerprint-based criminal history clearance.

    If you do not already have these, we recommend obtaining these as soon as possible to ensure your employment can begin promptly, as results may take up to 4 weeks to arrive.

    You must possess the "Employment" versions of each clearance and not the "Volunteer" versions.

    Essential Job Functions

    Actively source talent for all levels, departments, and locations of the organizationProactively develop creative solutions for talent acquisitionDevelop relationships with administrators at high schools, trade schools, colleges, and community groups to build talent pipelineSet-up booths at local schools to speak with students about current and future job openingsCreate and send offer letters, and negotiate terms of employment with chosen candidatesWork closely with hiring managers to determine qualities of the ideal candidate and strive to attract candidates that fit that profileManage all job listings on the Company HRIS ensuring the descriptions are accurate and the listings are currentDevelop electronic pre-screening questionnaires for every position to better match qualified individuals to open positionsAssist hiring managers with initial phone screens and in-person interviews as neededAssist hiring managers with scheduling and coordinating interviewsPromptly respond to all phone calls, voicemails, and emails from job seekersExplain the Company's mission, core values, and operations to prospective job seekersMatch job seekers with positions that align with their skillset and interestsProactively review resume databases and LinkedIn and cold call potential candidates that match skillsets needed for hard-to-fill positionsManage all electronic job board subscriptions and accountsPerform reference checks as needed for certain positionsAssist managers with identifying staffing needsGive building tours to interested job seekersRepresent the Company at local and regional job fairs for both locationsAssist in the hiring process for other Spooky Nook locations including Champion Mill Ohio and travel to the locations as neededConduct "stay interviews" with current team members to foster retentionAll other duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications

    While experience in recruitment will be helpful for this position, it is not the most important quality we are seeking in an ideal candidate.

    Working Conditions

    Work environment : Upbeat, high-energy sports and event complex with heavy foot traffic and frequent large crowds. This position will primarily work in an office environment.

    Physical requirements : While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to perform physical activity that includes moving about the work area, talking, hearing, standing, and sitting for long periods of time while working on a computer.

    He or she will frequently be required to bend, reach, lift, push and pull. The team member will be occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.

    He or she is required to have the visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

    Lifting requirements : The team member will be required to lift, push, pull, lower and / or move up to 25 lbs. regularly.
