Job Description
The position provides support to the Talent Acquisition Team at Bath Iron Works. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will perform HR-related duties that relate to employment on a professional level.
You will work closely with all levels within the organization across all divisions. This position will have a critical role in helping to continue the "Bath-Built is Best Built" tradition through attending recruiting and hiring events.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include :
- Ordering department office supplies, training materials / books, recruiting items, etc.
- Administer internal reimbursement programs.
- Submit HR Services technology requests.
- Schedule candidate interviews.
- I9 / E-Verify for new hires.
- Periodic auditing of departmental processes and procedures.
- Attend and participate in hiring events, college job fairs, and recruiting sessions.
- Data and file management.
- Other specific duties as assigned.
Required / Preferred Education / Training
- 1 years of Talent Acquisition / Human Resource Generalist experience required or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Basic knowledge of principles and practices of HR administration strongly preferred.
Required / Preferred Experience
- Strong analytical and computer skills (Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Access) required.
- Strong customer relations, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills required.
- Positive can-do attitude required.
- Ability to work independently and in a group setting with initiative, in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks.
- Exceptional writing and grammar skills; ability to draft correspondence from general guidelines.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality required.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) preferred.
- Flexibility to work more than 40 hours (including weekends) and adjust work hours as needed.
- Occasional travel required.
