Centennial Tax & Accounting is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to add to our team in the Quad Cities.  Are you a strong team player with the ability to solve complex issues? Do you work well under pressure and understand the importance of meeting deadlines for your clients? In this position, you will work both directly with our clients, as well as other staff on various general accounting duties.

Your daily tasks will include:

• Processing monthly accounts
• Preparing monthly bookkeeping
• Preparing bank reconciliations and year-end financial statements
• Maintaining client depreciation schedules
• Preparing and organizing appropriate workpapers

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in accounting, finance, or related field or two to four years related experience and/or training.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to multitask and complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines
• Proficiency with QuickBooks preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to learn new software programs
