We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Accountant with 2-3 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment to join our finance team. As the Cost Accountant, you will play a key role in analyzing manufacturing costs, identifying areas for improvement, and providing valuable insights to support informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform cost accounting activities, including analyzing manufacturing costs, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Prepare and maintain accurate cost records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and finance, to gather relevant data and insights.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciling cost accounts and preparing journal entries.
• Prepare cost reports and analysis for management review, highlighting key performance metrics and trends.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting activities, providing cost-related inputs and recommendations.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of progressive experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• CPA certification or progress towards certification is a plus.
